AERO-Bildung Aviation Training Center

The Dornier Training Division, fore-runner of Aero Bildung Training Center, was founded some 40 years ago, when increasingly sophisticated systems called for in-depth training for operators/pilots, maintenance technicians, and logistic personnel. The main training activities were based upon type training for the aircraft and products being produced by Dornier.

In the following decades the Dornier Training Center developed rapidly due to the increasing requirements of civilian and military aviation.

Aero Bildung was founded after the insolvency of Fairchild/Dornier in 2002. This new company employs more than 80 technical instructors that guarantee excellence of training either in their facility at Oberpfaffenhofen Airport- a traditional location of aviation, or at their customers’ facilities.

Type Training

With the EASA PART 147 approval in 1999, several types of training were also approved based on the long-time experience gained as the manufacturer’s Training Center. As such, Aero Bildung’s type training for Dornier aircraft is recognized world-wide by most Authorities.

In addition, Aero Bildung also holds Transport Canada and CASA approvals for Dornier and other aircraft. The following aircraft types are trained in theory and practice in their Training Center or at customer’s facilities: Dornier 228 including NG with glass cockpit, Dornier 328-100/300, Dash 8-100/200/300/400, Boeing 737-Classic/NG, and Airbus A 318/319/320/321.
